July Sermon Series: Free from What Holds Us Back

In the book of Genesis, the story of Joseph begins with a dream. In order to realize that dream, Joseph has to overcome some obstacles in his life, moving from where he is to where he is meant to be. The same is true of us. God created us for a purpose but obstacles fill the road between where we are and where He is calling us to be. So what’s holding us back? Join us as we learn to be Free from What Holds Us Back.

Sunday, July 1 Free from Hurt

The past isn’t always pretty. Our scars remind us that life often isn’t as it should be. Through God’s power, grace, and the call to move forward, we are more than conquerors.

Sunday, July 8 Free from Temptation

Compromise might feel right in the moment, but it wreaks havoc on the good plan God has for our lives. Will we fight to keep our integrity even when it comes at a price?

Sunday, July 15 Free from Discouragements

Sometimes God’s plan takes longer than we thought and doesn’t work out as we hoped. If we’re willing to trust Him, God will show us His way is better than anything we could have imagined!

Sunday, July 22 Free from Success

God’s plan for our life is so much better than health, wealth, and prosperity. Every gift He gives us, great or small, is an opportunity to serve others in love.

Sunday, July 29 Free from Ourselves

Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. Holding onto bitterness will choke the life out of us, but the gift of forgiveness sets us free to live as God intended.

Please join us in July as we discuss the story of Joseph. We meet on Sundays for traditional worship at 8:15 and 11 am in the sanctuary and for contemporary worship at 10:45 am in the gym.
