Read to Kids and Change a Life
This will be HFUMC's 8th year volunteering with Project Transformation; a one-on-one reading program for grade school age children.
We will read one-on-one with children at Matthews Memorial UMC in Madison on June 10-13 from 9:15am-12:15pm. We are grateful for your time dedicated to these children, whether it’s one day or four days!
There is an average of 75 children who attend the all-day "camp experience" at Matthews Memorial UMC in Madison through mid-July.
You can help by providing individually-packaged snacks in the donation barrels located by the Welcome Center Atrium and the Church Administration Offices.
Please consider giving items such as Goldfish, granola bars, animal crackers, trail mix, peanut butter crackers or small boxes of raisins.
Our mission is to engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry, support children in holistic development, and connect churches with communities.
This program for elementary and middle school youth operates at nine site churches in the Middle and West Tennessee areas. The summer program alone requires over 1300 volunteers to operate!
