We are glad you are here. We hope to introduce your child to HFUMC in a way that gets him or her excited about church and learning about God. We also want to partner with you as you experience the ups and downs of parenthood, helping your child become their very best and learn to experience all that God offers.

Your First Visit
The first time your child visits HFUMC Kids, we recommend arriving about 15 minutes before service or Sunday School. When you arrive, stop by one of our welcome stations. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
If you know you're planning on attending for the first time with your children, an easy way to save time on Sunday morning is to preregister your kids for our children's ministry programs.
HFUMC Kids Programming
Nursery: Nursery is provided every Sunday morning from 8 AM until 12 pm. Loving caregivers that have been trained and screened are in the nursery each week to care for your little ones while you worship.
Preschool: Preschool Sunday school meets 9:30-10:30 am on Sunday morning. Each Sunday, children meet for worship, Bible lesson, craft and play time together. Activities are designed to be age appropriate with the purpose of engaging children in the weekly bible lesson.
Elementary: Elementary Sunday School meets 9:30-10:30 am each Sunday morning. There's interactive worship, memorable games, exciting skits, and much more! We start with a large group assembly and then move to small groups based on grade.
6th Graders: Our 6th graders gather 9:30-10:30 am on Sunday morning. Preteens will learn how to search the Bible for answers and build a faith foundation that guides wise choices. We talk about what is happening at school, take prayer requests, and get real in our conversations. Their own space, equipped with air hockey and funky seating, is designed to help them make friendships that will take them through middle school and into high school.
Confirmation: In addition to Sunday morning, 6th graders are invited to participate in our Sunday night confirmation class where they will learn basic building blocks of faith as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of the United Methodist Church. Throughout the year they participate in classes, service opportunities, retreats, and much more.
Year-Round Events: Throughout the year, several events designed specifically for our children and families take place. These include Vacation Bible School, Bible workshops, Night in Bethlehem, Created by God, summer kids camp, and more. Watch our website or social media for more information on these events.
