Service Times, Directions, and What to Expect
You might be wondering, what's it like at that church on the corner in Hendersonville? Simply stated, at HFUMC, we're all about following Jesus and helping introduce Him to others. Why? Because we believe it can transform the world.
No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.
Sundays at 8:15 and 11 am in the Sanctuary
Sundays at 10:45 am in the Gym
Length: Sunday services are about 60 minutes long.
Style of Service: The traditional services offers classic hymns, liturgies, and our choir. Most people are dressed in typical church attire (business casual), but we welcome you in whatever you would like to wear. The contemporary service features modern worship music, a casual feel, a coffee bar, and our praise band. You'll see everything from shorts to jeans to dresses - come as you are.
Communion: Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month. United Methodists believe that Jesus invites everyone to his table. You do not have to be a member of this church, a United Methodist, or even a baptized Christian to receive communion here. If you are seeking a renewed relationship of love with God and your neighbor you are welcome at the table.
HFUMC Kids offers nursery for ages newborn to pre-kindergarten from 8 am until Noon every Sunday. We also offer Sunday School at 9:30 on Sundays for preschoolers, elementary students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers. We believe in a high-energy, fun, and Biblical-based approach to Sunday School for our kids.
We have a quick and simple check-in process, and your children’s safety is a top priority. The first time that you visit you will want to allow yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in and let us help your child find his or her place.
