We Are Glad You Are Here
You might be wondering, what's it like at that church on the corner in Hendersonville? Simply stated, at HFUMC, we're all about following Jesus and helping introduce Him to others. Why? Because we believe living a life of faith can transform the world.
No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, HFUMC is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.
When are worship services held?
Sundays at 8:15am in the Sanctuary
Sundays at 10:45am in the Gym
What should I expect when I visit?
Length: Sunday services are about 60 minutes long.
Style of Service: The traditional service offers classic hymns, liturgies, and our choir. Most people are dressed in typical church attire (business casual), but we welcome you in whatever you would like to wear. The contemporary service features modern worship music, a casual feel, a coffee bar, and our praise band. You'll see everything from shorts to jeans to dresses - come as you are.
Communion: Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month. United Methodists believe that Jesus invites everyone to his table. You do not have to be a member of this church, a United Methodist, or even a baptized Christian to receive communion here. If you are seeking a renewed relationship of love with God and your neighbor you are welcome at the table.
What does HFUMC offer for my kids?
HFUMC Kids offers nursery for ages newborn to pre-kindergarten from 8am-Noon every Sunday. Sunday School starts at 9:30am on Sundays for preschoolers, elementary students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers. Your kids will experience a high-energy, fun, and Biblical-based approach to Sunday School.
You'll find a quick and simple check-in process, because your children’s safety is a top priority. The first time you visit you will want to allow yourself an extra 10minutes to get signed in and let us help your child find his or her place.

How can I get to know what HFUMC is about?
The Newcomers Class meets every first and third Sunday of the month at 9:30am and is open to anyone (guest or long-time member) looking to learn more about the church. Each first Sunday the class covers an introduction to the United Methodist denomination, while each third Sunday gives participants an overview of ways to connect, grow and serve at HFUMC. Find us in Room AW-237 (Administrative Wing), but stop by the Welcome Desk on the way and they will gladly help you find your way.
