Hey y'all! Its Randa and I am the youth director! I am married to Josh. We have been married for 2 ½ years. Yes, we got married in the middle of Covid-19! We are so excited that God has brought us to Hendersonville FUMC! I was born and raised in Tennessee and grew up in the Sumner County area. I have lived in TN my entire life except for 3 years when the Lord led me to Paducah, Kentucky, which is where I met Josh. I grew up in White House and Gallatin and I am a 2006 graduate of Station Camp High School. I have a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Spanish from Middle Tennessee State University.
I am a HUGE sports fan and grew up playing several sports. In high school I played basketball, golf, and threw shot put on the track team. I love to be under the Friday night lights in the fall watching a high school football games and in the gym watching high school basketball games in the winter. I am a college football fan! I love to watch my LSU Tigers on Saturdays in the fall! Geaux Tigers!
I love to travel. I have been to 35 states in the USA and 8 different countries, including Israel. I love to have a house full of people to entertain. Josh and I both love to cook although Josh is the better one. He makes amazing ribs, Boston butt, and pork tenderloin! He is also a GREAT baker!!!! He makes the best cakes! I love Mexican food, and I am always up for a conversation over a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea!!
My favorite disciple is Peter. My favorite book in the Old Testament is Ruth. I have several favorite Bible verses but the top 2 are Jeremiah 29:11 and Philippians 4:13.
I have served in various roles in youth ministry for the last 17 years. I have served churches in Murfreesboro, Decherd, Winchester, Manchester, Paducah, and Spring Hill. My favorite thing about being a youth pastor is getting to connect with students and helping students grow and strengthen their faith and relationship with Jesus.
Josh and I are so excited to finally be here in Hendersonville and get to work and see what God has in store for us as we follow HIS next faithful steps. Come by the office and see me!!!!
