What Is UMW?
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is:
- To know God
- To experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
- To develop a creative, supportive fellowship
- To expand local and global missions
All Women Are Welcome
Membership shall be open to any woman who indicates her desire to belong and to participate in the global mission of the church through United Methodist Women. Membership is as diverse as the church itself and is made up of women of different backgrounds and stages of life.
What We Do
UMW is one of the largest woman’s organizations in the world, and it doesn’t take that responsibility lightly. We truly believe that the world is our parish. We are a mission organization, giving of ourselves through prayer, action and financial gifts throughout the world in response to God’s call.

Monthly Meetings
Meetings are typically the first Tuesday of the month with social time and refreshments at 10 a.m. and a program at 10:30 a.m. A business meeting follows the program. Please check the Calendar or News page for monthly information.
Monthly Circle Meetings
Each circle has its own mission emphasis.
*Esther Circle: Mission emphasis is Walton Ferry Elementary school.
Meets third Tuesday of the month, location and times vary.
*Hannah Circle: Mission emphasis is CAP (Children Are People) and Mission Crisis Cupboard.
Meets second Thursday of the month, alternating between afternoon and evening.
*Lydia Circle: Mission emphasis is to educate ourselves and others about the needs of women and children and work to meet those needs.
Meets third Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Salome classroom.
*Naomi-Ruth Circle: Mission emphasis is snacks for Whitten elementary school and Shalom Zone and FHUMC Emergency Closet.
Meets third Tuesday of the month at 10 am In Genesis classroom.
*Rebekah Circle: Mission emphasis is Ft. Campbell baby layettes.
Meets third Tuesday of the month at 10 am in Genesis Hall.
